The Potential is Limitless
Few things can transform your home or make you feel like a lucky HGTV homeowner than a minor kitchen renovation! Not only will this increase the value of your home but it carries a huge return on investment - often times more than a full kitchen remodel.
As you can see from my Kitchen Makeover Pictures, freshly painted cabinets and a gorgeous backsplash completely transforms a kitchen.
Letting go of the past, decluttering, and entering this decade is a cathartic experience whether you’re looking to breathe fresh air into an outdated kitchen or preparing your home for sale to begin a new chapter.
My clients find the kitchen makeover process to be gratifying and exciting! I’ll ask you about your goals for the new kitchen - are you staying and loving it or leaving and want it to appeal to potential buyers? Whether we’re infusing your personality into the kitchen or tapping into my expertise of what potential homebuyers are looking for the end result is a new kitchen that brings a sense of balance and heart to your cherished home.
All projects begin with an initial 1/2 hour design consultation for $50.00. Take 2 Artworks works with all budgets.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the typical turnaround time?
My goal is to get in and out as quickly as possible so you can begin enjoying your new kitchen or list your home for top dollar. My Kitchen Design appointment includes discussing the scope of the project and time frames. If you are keeping your existing countertops, typically the turnaround time is approximately 2 weeks. Replacing countertops adds additional time to the project.
What does the Kitchen Consultation appointment entail?
My unique process incorporates my eye for design as an interior designer covering style, design, and colors, along with the structural aspect of a project - from different wood finishes, hinges, and damage to texture, grain and color and finish. With the exception of countertop installation, I actually do the work of painting the cabinets and cutting and installing the tile backsplash.
We will discuss your style and preferred colors for the entire space to complement what you already have and take into consideration things you like and dislike about the kitchen, style and period of your home, and the feelings you would like the space to “evoke” after makeover, etc.
I have found that 80% of people know what they want, they just don’t know how to get there. Through my questioning I take what’s in your head and already in your home and we develop a plan, budget, and timeline.
I will give you a verbal estimate and explain my process and then submit a formal estimate within 48 hours. The consultation fee is payable at time of appointment. Within as little as two weeks, you can have your “dream kitchen!"
Where do I start with my kitchen makeover?
It can be overwhelming to know where to begin with a home renovation. I begin the process with a color consultation. Together, we create a beautiful design plan from colors to new finishes to new countertops (if desired) and other details. Bringing a cohesive and fresh look to your kitchen and surrounding rooms helps create the best of what you already have.
Can I change the entire look of my kitchen and keep my old cabinets?
Yes! You can save a lot of money by keeping your existing layout. Give new life to your kitchen by updating the countertops, painting or reinventing the existing cabinets, changing the hardware and adding a backsplash. It’s the perfect minor renovation that only takes a few weeks, saves lots of money, and breathes new energy into your home!
I want to sell my home. Everyone says that kitchens sell homes, but mine is outdated and I don’t have money in my budget for a major renovation. Can you help?
Take 2 Artworks will help you prioritize the updates needed in your home that has a 97% return on investment. Kitchens and bathrooms are the rooms potential buyers are looking at. It’s crucial to have updated finishes and elements that will appeal to buyers. Minor renovation is a smart way to go.
