Renew this brick fireplace with a whitewashing paint technique.

Last week I completed part one this fireplace makeover. The homeowner wanted to give her dark and dated red brick fireplace a new look that complemented her new color scheme of white and gray. She wanted a translucent effect done on the brick. White washing was the perfect technique for this job! This project was twice as fun because she had "back to back" fireplaces, one in the large kitchen family room and the other in the living room.  Part two will be to paint the wood mantles a medium gray to add contrast. Talk about a huge impact!

On Friday, November 17 Take 2 Artworks attended the 2017 Averill Park Education Foundation Gala held at the Old Daley on Crooked Lake.  So happy to donate design services for this special event as part of their silent auction. This wonderful organization enriches and enhances the students experience by providing support to the arts, music and technology departments in the Averill Park School District.

Another successful Downsizing Seminar

Take 2 Artworks participated in another Downsizing Seminar offered by the Bethlehem Central Schools Continuing Ed program. I enjoyed presenting with Nina Sher with Hunt Real Estate, Cheryl Shaw of CS Property Improvement and Roberta Sandler from Grassroot Givers. We shared a lot of helpful information to all that attended. A special thank you go's out to Leslie Horn Trosset of Leslie Horn Marketing.

Subway Tile Trends & Tips!

Here are several different subway tile styles to consider when renovating your kitchen or bath. Judi Stone Certified Interior Designer 518-495-4317 www.take2artworks.com #subwaytiletrends

Here's a quick video I created to show you several different styles and shapes of subway tile which has not only been around for years, but I predict will continue to be a trend for many years to come.

The key is understanding which subway tile best complements your existing finishes and character of your home. There are so many options which is great, but it can also be overwhelming! I help homeowners select the subway tile that works the best and I install them too.

Please call me at 518-495-4317 for a consultation.
