Step up your staircase

I recently had fun transforming this center hall colonial staircase in Slingerlands with custom refinishing. The main focal point in this beautiful home had lost its luster and was in need of re-styling. The very traditional existing yellow oak treads, banisters and posts were re-stained very dark brown which added contrast against with the painted white risers and spindles. Now the staircase has a fresh new look that enhances the overall beauty of their home.

Stairs can be updated with a combination of paint and or stain in many ways and has endless design possibilities in any style… vintage, contemporary or transitional. It’s also a great place to add color and pattern. So remove that dingy carpet, step up the contrast and give your grand staircase the makeover it deserves!
