Guilderland NY Home Showcases Homeowner’s Unique Style

Recently, I had the privilege or working with an amazing empty nester couple from Guilderland. They’re all about cooking and entertaining and their eclectic style is reflected in every aspect of this unique great room. They even hired a talented brick mason to build an authentic stone pizza oven.

This room is filled with unique high end finishes, metallic copper details and decorated with antique treasures. 

However, something was missing. They wanted the plain wall around the doorway to make a statement as an entrance to this room with old world textures. 

This couple envisioned a leather effect paint technique and hired Take 2 Artworks to translate bring it to life. I applied a three layer process with custom paint colors to create the faux leather grain. Then detailed with green patina and metallic copper highlights which picked up other elements in the room. 

A one of a kind accent wall for a one of a kind room and couple.
